Hello. Thank you for visiting my website.
I'm Cynthia Kremsner, mom to three children (of the non-furry-kind) and two children of the furry kind. We've some other pets that reside in our home: a Leopard Gecko, two Bearded Dragons and one Cockatiel.
References for artworks of the kid-and-critter-kind are all around me . . . my motivation and inspiration. I draw so much from them and wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm excited to have joined some amazing talents to collaborate on a project we hope is fun for all. With Paul Perryman on guitar, Jim Kremsner on keyboards , and me on the brushes, we've created this trailer promoting an app of my most recent work, Crouton & The Moose Take Howlywood. In 2009, I was selected by Laurent Linn, Art Director of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, as one of his three "mentees" in the Nevada SCBWI Mentor Program. After being awarded a Nevada Arts Council Jackpot Grant to help fund my participation , I was honored to work with Laurent through the six month program.
Currently, I serve as Illustrator Coordinator for the Nevada Society of Children's Books Writers & Illustrators. Illustrator Challenges are my challenge as I try to put forth something to spark participation and imagination each quarter. The best part, is seeing the variety of interpretations our creative forces come up with on each theme. I facilitate workshops with an interactive approach.
